Latin has adopted the World Economic Forum ESG framework and has set up an impact measurement plan for each sustainability area which includes governance, anti-corruption practices, ethical behaviour, child labour, GHG emissions, land use, ecological sensitivity, water consumption, diversity and inclusion, pay equality and local tax payments. Measuring our impact and plans using SocialSuite allows us to transparently communicate our ESG credentials to our stakeholders.
Latin Resources is exploring and developing commodities that are assisting the planet to transition to net zero emissions.
In Latin America, the company is focused on lithium exploration and development. Lithium is a key mineral used in electric vehicles and battery storage to decarbonise the world by directly contributing to technology-driven GHG emission reduction targets.
In addition, the Company has commenced a three-year $3.2 million R&D project with CRC CARE investigating the potential use of halloysite from the Company’s Cloud Nine Halloysite-Kaolin Deposit in WA to reduce methane emissions from cattle, a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions.
